I would like to see these variants for the next round:

    Elite Grifball on NOTREGRIF
    Jetpack on Low
    Taco's version of jetpack on a revised court
    Hand Egg
    Hot Potato

I am building a new court specifically for Hand Egg to replace Bloody Grifball [HE]. It should be ready for testing late tomorrow. The court will have different versions with solid, and natural floors.

I believe we should have 5 Vanilla, 5 Evolved, and 5 novelty variants to fill the 3 voting spots. Then rotate/replace 1 of each type each month.

Nokyard, do you still have plans to write up an outline of what makes a good matchmaking map? I think it'd definitely help a lot of folks here if we let them know what we're specifically looking for in a good map :)

Hot Potato is an oddball gametype where the oddball randomly explodes, killing the carrier. It occasionally comes up in matchmaking, particularly in Free for all. Don't know if it's possible to do with Assault/Grifball.

Oh, I haven't played very much free-for-all. xD Doesn't people get angry when the bomb explodes in their hands? I guess its a lot of rage quitting in that gametype.

at the moment i dont think there is a way, but that would be a great option, bungie should give us more options for custom games, off the top of my head id like a more percentage based option for armor ability usage instead of the off/on, unlimited selection we have now, like for AA grifball giving you 200% ability usage (or four evades instead of two). also giving us the ability to control the species of each team, so we could do grifball SvE or Elite grifball, that would be a great option for any game type as is we can only make elite slayer variants if we download bungies original, and they havent made elite assualt yet so where screwed there. as is there are some great things we can do, such as making a vehicle the bomb plant, this is something i did for an assualt variant where two teams try to blow each other up. basically, anyone with a life line to bungie needs to let them know the community is salivating for more options.

i'd love to see jet pack grifball (or skyballer, as i like to call it) added as a novelty, i have a few decent maps and a great game type that are pretty fun to play. they definetly need some more maps, im kinda tired of bloody grifball, no ofense. there are some other great maps out there that would be great in matchmaking. Also Elite grifball would be interesting, and bringing back Ariel grifball would be nice too, though we'd need a few maps specific to both of those.

From my tinkering it isn't possible in an assault game (would have been particularly nice as I have been trying to figure out a way to stop the credit farmers in MM) but I made one variant that uses it. Nothing special, just team Hot Potato with the Ball Carrier turning Orange. Granted It goes with the "Anti-Grif" variants I've been working on, but should work for a regular match.
