I can get behind this claim, but I do agree the map would not be a good idea for matchmaking. But I play Vanilla, so I doubt I'll ever see it anyway.

Seriously, I can't remember when I last got Evolved in MM. Rarely I get stuck with Blargs or Jetpacks but never standard Evolved.

I don't really see what people are seeing. I've played on that map more than enough and I've never had a problem.

To sort of quote Kirsty "the walls were funny". What we saw was when we were playing the walls were sort of moving constantly, it was like the arena was shaking. Didn't really bother me that much but I think Kirsty said she would not play no the map.

This. ^
I looked at the map yesterday after you all were making such a fuss about the framerate issue. I didn't see any kind of framerate issue at all.

That's not the map, that's the Stunt Ramps he used for the walls. I've never liked those things. If you look right at them and move around, the lines "dance" around on the ramps. If you go on Pinwheel, the Ramps do the same thing on there as well. It's just something you have to adjust to. Like people have already said, it is an Evolved map so I doubt any of us will be playing it that often anyways, unless we choose to.

Originally, the ramps were in a vertical orientation and i turned them 90 degrees to be easier on the eyes.

Just because a map may not be played very often doesn't mean it can be sub-par. This map will be played on by thousands of people, people who don't know who Hot Bikini Guyz are, or why they have a palace. This map, like all maps in matchmaking, represents Grifball. There are clearly issues with shadows and rendering, most people can't stand how the stunt ramps look on the walls, and many seem to have frame rate problems. That's why I don't want this map in matchmaking. I don't like how it represents GrifballHub and Grifball as a whole.

As has been stated already, it's in 343's hands now, not the Hub's. So if they agree with everyone (which they could), then the map doesn't go into MM and we fix it.

And to the whole representation of the Hub and Grifball and what-not:
If the Hub thought that this map would represent them poorly, then they would have declined it for this update and made us fix it. So I don't think the Hub is too worried. As for representing Grifball, you could say the same thing about the Evolved gametype itself. Do people like it? Not really. Do people still play Grifball even though it's in MM? YES! One map will not make a whole community quit Grifball. Will there be some people who don't like the map? Heck yes. Will it make them stop playing Grifball? Mabye a very select few. Not even close to enough to worry about though.

Personally, I think people are making this a bigger deal than it is. However, I'll say it one more time; it's all up to 343. So we won't know until November. Still <3 you all.

Well knowing what Nokyard has told me, the map will stay there for a long time. Didn't really know my court being in MM was a problem for you...

But anyways, hopefully HBG Palace will join the team MM map club we have every tuesday. :)

What I didn't say that. I like RR court.

From this weeks Waypoint Weekly Update:
"Grifball Playlist updated: Two new maps are making their way into the Grifball list this month: “Hot Bikini Guys Palace,” the home court of their Good Games League summer champions, and “The Exultant Genuflect,” which my 2-in-1 dictionary & thesaurus tells me is a juxtaposition. Yeah, we can get concomitant over here too, y’all."

Happy to see the update got in. Also just a little happy to see one of the 2 maps in there ;) That map being The Exultant Genuflect :D Then there is that other horrible looking map Hot Bikini Guys Palace. Who let that map into MM?

To be fair I'm surprised it got in, but that's mainly because of the X-rated content found of the court. Shame on you guys putting that kind of thing on your court, there may be children playing.

But those children can piss off because this game is rated 16+
