A few things. Well done to the teams who got some of their games done today. Thanks for playing, I know it's getting close to Christmas but we hope you can get everything done.

If any team feels they deserve a forfeit win over an over team, message me with the reasons. Games that don't get played with neither teams having grounds for claiming the victory will result in a double forfeit.

Hey, what's going on over there across the Atlantic? I'm about 60% sure I could put a different header on different pages on grifball.info, so if any of y'all does graphics stuff and wants to make a European header, make something 900x198 pixels and I'd try to set that up next weekish.

I might do some but I'd rather try and keep on track with my University work.

And for what's happening, not much. By Monday we'll know who will be facing us in the final.

The regular season is now over and we're now moving into the playoffs. Because of how the league has went, Johnson's Salty Grifballs are automatically seeded into the final.

The other place in the final will be contested between Sarge's Angels and Team Impact who will play each other in a playoff game for the other place in the final.

The deadline for this game is the end of this week. That's all.

And that means we have another Sarge's Angels vs. Johnson's Salty Grifballs final.

The final should be played early next week.

the newly (hopefully) reformed Rainbows & Unicorns may participate in the next league.

It might be a while until the next league. If I'm still commissioner by the next league (I'll hold an election after the league) then I'm going to make sure we have teams ready to sign-up before I start the league, hopefully to raise numbers and lower forfeits.

Will it work? Probably not, but it's worth a shot.

I've got an idea that might be able to solve the problems that EU teams have had recently. Instead of using the GGL guest players ruling directly, have the teams in the preseason put down a player or two that are on another team's roster that could substitute for them, but are only allowed to use them a limited number of times. That way it would give captains who struggle with getting players online at certain times a hope that they can get their games played on schedule.
Kinda using speedway's reserve ruling as my inspiration for this, but take the game vs Sarge's Angels on Friday as an example. If on this ruling I had already nominated R&U's Germanicus as my reserve player, for one game I'd be able to field a team of Me, Sev, Marcus and John. From this game onwards, I wouldn't be able to use John again this season, and as I've exhausted my reserve list, I'd have to rely on my team for turning up on time and playing the game.

It will be considered but I would rather not have a guest system in the EUGBL. But if one is needed or strongly desired then it may be imposed.
