Since we have our own racing forum now....

I know a few of you actually pay attention to real racing. Talk it up here. Doesn't matter what kind as long as it involves some sort of motorsports.

Sweet! Ok well I'm just going to start off by saying I'm into NASCAR the most out of any racing series, with IRL, Lemans Series, and Rolex behind it. My favorite Driver in Nascar is Jeff Burton. I'm a big Chevy fan across all racing series.

Thats what I'm into, but I want to ask...

Who do you think will win this years Nascar Sprint Cup Championship?
Who will be the next driver to Win a race after not winning for over 100 Races?
Who will be the most shocking Winner or dominator of the Season?

I like boats. It counts cause they have motors so its a motorsport. And they race them.


No actually though, at the Seattle Seafair festival every summer, they race hydroplanes, and it's awesome. Plus I get a VIP pass 'cause my aunt is the president/CEO of Seafair. That pass also lets me into the pits, which is sweet.

I work at Silverstone... you wouldn't think F1 cars would be that LOUD. The classic cars are pretty good though, seeing tiny old beetles and minis tootling around the track. And celebrities. I served Damon Hill and Heston Blumenthal lemon chicken. My claim to fame right there.

I'm not big into the whole motorsports thing, but I did watch some of an F1 race the other day. It was the Spanish Gran Prix, this Maldonado guy won. It was actually pretty entertaining, the whole DRS thing is interesting, allows more passing therefore more fun. Don't care for NASCAR, but maybe I could enjoy F1.

unfortunatley here in the US our coverage of motorsports is limited to Nascar, drag racing and Indy cars. Mainly because those are the more viewer friendly to watch because it's easier to see the entire race when it's on an oval (or a 1/4 mile strip).

The thing with F1 here in the US is the time issue, it's not usually on live at a friendly time. That being said try to watch some touring car stuff like ALMS, BTCC or V8 Supercars. They may not be the precision scalpel that F1 is but they are anything but the blunt (and boring) hammer that Nascar is.

anyone see the new Forza thats coming out? Supposed to be an open world racer and looks interesting
