Welcome to the Team Impact thread, the home of the second longest running active European Grifball team and EUGBL13 Champions.

Team Impact started out their Grifball career in the European Grifball Spring League 2010 (EUGBL6). Originally consisting of the team of rollo 93, DartMonkey360, hunter968 and M4D D4LE, the team averaged a win a season in Halo 3 Grifball whilst still being the only team to score past M4G in the division stages.

Transitioning to Halo: Reach, Team Impact picked up AJ95360boy and GUNDAM Nemesis, two players who only played a couple of games, but were able to step in when we needed them. Despite going on an eight game losing streak at the time, Impact by some sort of miracle took the wildcard spot into the playoffs and managed to win for the first time against Sarge's Angels to book a spot into the final and receive an 8-1 drubbing by The Elite Spartans.

Team Impact would then join the Good Games League in the following months, and compete in GGL7, recording the last Vanilla defeat at the hands of EU opponents that rivals, Johnson's Salty Grifballs, would have on their record until GGL10. During GGL7, TI picked up NonDairyTea, formerly of The Elite Spartans, debuting him in the first game of Jetpack Grifball in the GGL and allowing him to develop and unhealthy attraction to Dale. This would see the first time that Team Impact would use the rule of "lose a final, take a player". This rule would later become their unofficial motto.

With players going their separate ways, either through losing interest in Halo, Grifball, or speaking to rollo, Team Impact was starting to lose players fast in the Autumn of 2011. After playing matchmaking together with rollo 93 and DartMonkey360, Team Impact acquired two new faces in the form of CaptainSev004 and Communist Tiger. These two would prove key to the survival of the team, bulking the roster up to a healthy five players.

Over winter 2011, the International Grifball League would see Team Impact progress through the group stages as a late entry and make the final only to lose out to Rainbows and Unicorns in a best of three series. The IGL also marked the time that kirsty de lacey made her debut for Impact, 9 months before her EUGBL debut.

As well as the IGL final in the Winter of 2011, Team Impact would make the semi finals of the EUGBL11, losing out to Sarge's Angels 5-4. The end of EUGBL11 also saw the end of Rainbows and Unicorns as a team, and following their implosion, Team Impact added germanicus1994 to the ranks, bringing an amazing "bomb runner" to the team. With germ, Team Impact would go on to make the GGL8 and GGL9 playoffs and make it 3 in a row. Team Impact also finished with a 6-4 record in GGL 9, eventually losing out to Johnson's Salty Grifballs in the Round of 16, continuing the long running rivalry between the two sides..

The EUGBL12 was, at the time, the most successful season that Team Impact had taken part in. Going 8-1 in Division 1 and having to progress through the harder route to face JSG again required TI to beat both The A Team Rejects and Division 2 winners Communist Snails. Despite the long journey, it all seemed in vein as Johnson's Salty Grifballs took the final, and making it their third EUGBL championship in as many seasons.

The 13th European Grifball League was where it all changed for Team Impact, as they started to win things. With kirsty de lacey now playing regularly on Impact, the team of Sev, John and Kirsty would continue to win whichever EU Event at the time, even Grifball Dash. Over the course of the season, the team would go 9-1, losing once to Budgie Studios. The team would narrowly miss out on the top spot of the group via a forfeit win, meaning that Team Impact would have to go through the playoffs the hard way again. After beating both The TI Crowd and JSG for the first time, ending JSG's EUGBL undefeated streak, all that stood in the way of the championship was a final game versus Budgie Studios. A 43 minute game later, and Team Impact came out on top 5-4 up, and the 13th European Grifball League Champions. GG, Budgies, GG.

Team Impact returned after the jump to Halo 4 with M4D D4LE making a return to the Team Impact roster. With Dale back and the new throwing mechanic in play, Team Impact began utilising both launches and passes to give away possession in-game. With the originals and the Reach kids in tow, TI managed to make the playoffs yet again in the GGL, losing to eventual champions Easy As Pie in the Round of 16. On the European side of things, Team Impact, the most overrated side in European Grifball, managed to finish 3rd in their division behind Budgie Studios and Team WHR with a 7-3 record. With that record, the playoffs were set, as Team Impact took on and defeated The Grif Crowd 7-2 in the quarters, and losing out in the semi to Budgies 6-3. #BudgiesCan'tShutOut

All your questions will be answered..... Throughout this post, hopefully.

New team thread: I thought that with the new GGL season looming I'd start a new thread for us. Plus with Marcus being away for now, I wanted the ability to edit the front post so I can post things such as a schedule, results and other things that you can check back on, but I couldn't do that on the old thread. I cleared it up and tried a couple of things with Mike to give me editing control over the old thread, but none of it worked. So here we are!

The last post in the old thread is a good story. With some specialist timed searching, and the numbers in our favour, Sev, Nathan, Kirsty and myself, managed to find a matchmaking game of Grifball against two former Team Impact bomb runners in hunter968 and M4D D4LE, and NiinjaBunnii, hunter's girlfriend. Needlessly said, it was a straightforward whitewash with even me being able to go positive, and manage to get that special, "You pummelled M4D D4LE." notification in my lower left corner, which definitely was enjoyable.

Don't worry David, I understand that getting Kirsty away from JSG is near impossible when it comes to the GGL, so, for now, there will be no brawling
