Guys! Last night, history was proved wrong, a 12 year old (sounds 12) American stated that it was in fact not the English who developed the English language and that it was the Americans who originally developed it! All these years I believed the English language was founded in Great Britain and I was wrong apparently.

Does he not understand why it's called English? That should be a dead giveaway.
